Once again we are joining the CREST program to bring the joys and fundamentals of Baseball and Softball!
Learn to Play The Game The Right Way! SMBA has top coaches for our SMBA CREST Fall program! Our after school program is for beginners, intermediate and advanced players for ALL LEVELS of baseball. After school, players will get individual attention, knowledge, and skills at their level of development for strong confident softball players.
Our Fall program is designed to teach proper fundamentals, learn proper techniques and advance each player's skill-set so they are ready for Spring baseball 2026! Players will practice proper throwing mechanics, pitching, catching, hitting, fielding and base running. This developmental program is designed with a direct emphasis on learning the primary fundamentals that lay the foundation for elite play in softball. Our coaches know how to work with your player so they can be the best that they can be!
Hitting Instruction: Players will train with SMBA hitting coaches! Coaches will break down their swing mechanics, stance and power! We will work on their hit game after school with our coaches and get better today for their game in 2025! Players will do skill work in hitting, tee work, strength training, increasing velocity, balance, swing and identifying pitches. Players must have a solid foundation with hitting for this session! For grades 4-5 only.
Pitching Instruction: Players will train with SMBA pitching coaches with pitching fundamentals and techniques. We train players on pitching fundamentals, pitching grips, pitch selections, preventative arm care, velocity, Pick-offs location pitching and how to achieve more power in their game! Each week, players work on advanced pitching dynamics after school! Players must have a solid foundation with pitching for this session! For grades 4-5 only.

About Coach Andee
Professional softball player May 2005 to October 2019
After her division 1 all American college softball career, she went on to play the highest level professional softball in various countries and locations around the world. Including the US , the Netherlands. Italy, and Asia. She was a pitcher, hitter and first baseman, and accomplished in all positions at high statistical performance levels, and would start in every line up at either position and as a hitter.
She is currently the Marymount High School assistant varsity coach and pitching coach.

Coach Mariela
Mariela played at Los Angeles Harbor College and then took her talents to Graceland University in Iowa. Still playing! She now pitches for an all-women’s U-trip team. Mariela has coached all ages and all levels of softball as a private pitching instructor and high school coach for over 8 years. She is the pitching coach for the SMSBA 10u and 12U Club teams!
Coach Ilene
SMSBA welcomes Coach Ilene to the team! A former varsity player, she started her collegiate softball career at Pasadena City College. She then received a Division 1 scholarship to play at Alcorn State University! After her playing career, she remained at Alcorn as the Graduate Assistant Coach for 3 years. During her time as a Graduate Assistant, Coach Ilene coached at clinics/camps and now brings her talent to SMSBA!

Coach Neveah
She was the starting center fielder on varsity all four years of High School and and played travel ball at an elite level! She now plays softball at Alderson Broaddus University, leads her team with a .348 batting average and the highest fielding percentage! She coached with us all summer and is a top coach with SMSBA!

A standout varsity high school player, Coach Aileen is currently playing middle infield at Santa Monica College! She is one of the coaches for our SMSBA 10U and 12U teams. She loves coaching the younger players at our camps and clinics!
